Hi I’m Shelby— a UXer with roots in journalism, photography and marketing

The University of Washington Police Department (UWPD) needed an overhaul of their website, both from a content strategy and WordPress theme standpoint. The ultimate goal of the site was to make sure that no matter who came to the site looking for resources they were able to get to the information that they needed and felt most comfortable with.

The University of Washington’s Office of Academic Personnel (OAP) wanted to update and redesign their website to a more user-friendly, faculty-focused experience. We collaborated with various members of their office on the best way to update their site and bring it onto our WordPress theme so it was easier for them to edit long-term.

Study Buddies was an app designed to help connect busy college students with their peers in a safe and comfortable way despite the obstacles of social distancing, online classes, etc. This was a a concept app designed over a short amount of time, complete with user research and testing.
